Shakeup at Deputy Sheriff’s Association, Does this have anything to do with the County Pension Fund? Are these current actions related to the fact Sheriff Jobs were lost because of Pension Fraud and County Budget Deficits?

I hope that is what happen and I am glad to see the sheriffs flex there might and displeasure with what has already transpired in Santa Barbara County.

The president and vice president of the influential Santa Barbara County Deputy Sheriff’s Association(DSA), the union representing more than 450 members of the Sheriff’s Department as well as DA investigators, were voted out of office at a member meeting on 5/4. Chris Corbett, a three-term incumbent as president, lost by fewer than 10 votes to Todd Johnson, while David Brookshire, who didn’t run again for vice president, was replaced by Brenda Maynard, a custody sergeant. There was reportedly unrest in the DSA’s membership about communication coming from leadership in the union.
